the vacabulary for garage band
playhead: Show the point in the project that is currently playing or where the playback starts when you click the Play button.

timeline: Contains the tracks, record Real and Software Instruments, add loops, and arrange regions. Includes the beat rule to align times with beats and measure.

track header: Includes the instrument icon and name. Contains the Record Enable, Mute, Sole, and Lock Track buttons as well as the triangle to show the track's automation curves

regions: Provides a closer view or part of the timeline or allows more of the timeline to be viewed at once

beat ruler:Allows control points to be added to create changes over time for volume, panning and other parameters
editor button :Open the editor
level meters:Displays 4 modes: Time, Measures, Chord, and Project; displays beats and measures. Click to move the playhead to any point in the timeline
playhead lock button :Allows you to see different parts of the project in the timeline and the editor by unlocking the playheads in the timeline and the editor
arrange track:Allows sound to be organized, recorded, and shaped. Loops can be added and music working with in regions along the timeline
master track:Create changes to the overall project volume, add a fade in or fade out, change the tempo, or transpose parts of the project to a different key

tracks:Regions can be added to define different sections of a project such as intro, verse, and chorus which can then be copied and moved to rearrange the project
transport controls:Created in the timeline when recording or adding a loop and can then be copied, pasted, looped, resized, moved and transposed
track info: Opens Track Info pane
grid button:Determine if clipping is occurring in the project
LCD: Contains Record, Play, Go to Beginning, Rewind, Fast Forward, and Cycle buttons

media browser:Opens Media Browser
automation curve:Contains the pan dial, volume slider, and level meter of the track
scroll bars: Drag to move to a different part of a project not currently visible

zoom slider : Select a not value for the timeline or choose automatic to have the value change when zooming in and out
master volume slide: Drag to adjust the project's master volume level

my song
the biggest challenge would be to make sure that the lyrics i choose go perfectly with the song so it doesnt look so off and making sure that who ever sings can hit the right notes so that the words go with my song.
